Award winning Citroén
Top Gear votes CITROËN DS5 “Car of the Year” in its category.
CITROËN has launched three DS models in under two years, forming a line of refined products faithful to the Brand’s “Créative Technologie” philosophy. The success of the DS line is reflected in the number of international prizes picked up recently by the DS3, DS4 and DS5, the latter having today been voted “Family Car of the Year” by UK motoring magazine Top Gear.
CITROËN DS3 wins awards from Auto Zeitung and Auto Bild Readers
The CITROËN DS3, the first model in the DS line, won two awards in Germany in November. The stylish supermini with limitless personalisation possibilities and boundless appeal took the “Auto Trophy 2011” prize in the “Importer” category on a vote by the readers of Auto Zeitung. Meanwhile, the DS3 Racing received a “Best Sports Car” award from the readers of Auto Bild.
CITROËN DS4 voted “EUROPEAN CAR OF THE YEAR” by Italian Journalists
Following the “Most Beautiful Car of the Year” and “Most Beautiful Interior” distinctions early this year at Festival Automobile International in Paris, the CITROËN DS4 has earned an award in Italy. The second model in the DS line won European Car of the Year 2012, one of the most prestigious titles awarded by the Italian motoring press.
The DS4 also recently claimed the prestigious Golden Steering Wheel award in the “Compact” category, voted by the readers of the Polish car magazine Auto Świat.
CITROËN DS5 wins awards from Top Gear and Auto Bild
The CITROËN DS5 was voted Family Car of the Year by UK magazine Top Gear. The car’s strong points were its distinctive, aerodynamic styling, aviation-inspired cabin, luxury finish and innovative hybrid diesel technology.
Powered by that innovative technology, the DS5 Hybrid4 recently won the prestigious “Goldenes Lenkrad” (Golden Steering Wheel) award organised by the Auto Bild and Bild am Sonntag magazines in the “Environment” category. The distinction, also called “Green Steering Wheel”, presented for the best ecological innovation of the year, underlines the performance of Hybrid4 technology, offering 200 bhp, four drive wheels, 3.8 l/100 km and just 99 g/km of CO2.
